April 2025
During the month of April, we focused on all thing’s flowers and bugs. The children loved the pretend play flower shop. We had a lot of connections to the flowers by children holding them, exploring them, and signing/ saying what they were. We also enjoyed many art activities creating flowers as well as bugs. A fan favorite was reading “there was an old lady who swallowed a frog”. This silly book created laughter, explorations, and interest in frogs. During the week of the young child, we were able to experience tasty treats, fun art, and planting flowers. It is wonderful to see connections each child made with the individual activities. We have heard a lot of language and seen a lot of great eye contact with all we have been doing. As we are nearing the end of school, we are grateful for all the fun experiences we had in the peaches classroom. We have grown and are fully blooming into great things at Frankie Lemmon school!
