October 2024
This month was full of farm animals and pumpkins. We had many opportunities to explore, touch, feel, and create animals and pumpkins. We have seen more interest in new materials that are put out in the classroom setting. Children are moving away from comfort and preferred toys to see what is new. Which is HUGE. We also have seen a lot of peer connections with noticing, eye contact, greetings, and saying their peer’s name. We have seen a lot of progress with attention to tasks, exploration of toys, and interest in art. As we continue to grow, we are using total communication approaches in play, which is a wonderful way to build language, signs, picture use, and incorporating communication devices. Thank you all who joined us on our farm field trip and trick or treating around Frankie Lemmon. We can’t wait for so many more fun events and activities ahead. We look forward to a wonderful November full of food, fun, and turkeys!
