January was SNOW much fun!
We had a wonderful January in the peaches classroom engaging in play with many different winter animals, snowballs, snowmen, and our pretend play ski slope. The winter animals were a fan favorite creating a great opportunity for group play and exploration. We had a lot of verbal and receptive identifying of animals, as well as matching. We created a lot of winter art and even painted with colored ice. We noticed that children were sitting alongside one another and interested in the play of their peers very often. We celebrated so many small moments with children gaining a skill, saying a word, and trying something new for the first time. It was wonderful to have real snow in the forecast creating topic of discuss and connection to our classroom theme. We are very grateful to have one another and are enjoying all the growth that is happening in our classroom.
