  Hooray for a new school, classroom, friends, therapists, and teachers!

The peaches classroom at Frankie Lemmon has been the beginning of everything new for our sweet friends. We have focused on getting acclimated to routines and new activities. It has been a joy to see the children already connect to core learning activities and begin social interactions. We focused on “back to school” for the first few weeks focusing on learning the wheels on the bus song, matching pieces of the bus, and recognizing them. We also focused on talking about our families and creating self-portraits to add to our classroom display. We then began focusing on farm animals talking about their sounds and as well as identifying each animal. Children have been able to explore the dramatic play center connecting the animals to their play. We have created fun farm art as well as read farm books. As children are connecting, we also have begun working on individualized goals. We have focused on what works best for individual children’s learning(seating, communication, and comfort). We appreciate you trusting in us to grow with your children this year. We can’t wait for the fall season to begin. We will be focusing on pumpkins and leaves!
