SIX LITTLE PEACHES PUMPKINS

The month of October has been full of everything Pumpkins.

We have learned to sign pumpkin, painted pumpkins, touched the inside of a pumpkin, created pumpkin art, found our picture in the “pumpkin patch”, and so much more! This unit has been such a fun learning experience for all the children in the classroom. Every child is connecting to more concrete objects and everyday concepts. Children have also made many connections with peers during our play. As peers would begin to explore our sensory bin others would follow. This was a perfect time to make sweet connection. We started all our specials which include, music therapy, movement class, social skills group, language group, and our therapy dog. It has made our days busy and so fun. We are so grateful for all the specials teachers that plan, implement lessons, and activities in our classroom. We also had our first inclusion play date with the grape’s classroom was a huge success. We were able to explore another classroom with peers who we play with on the playground. It was wonderful to see how children adapted in another space and engaged in a new activity. As the weather is turning cooler, we are excited to start talking about cozy foods during the season of giving and thanks. We have so much to be thankful for in our classroom!
