A love letter from February..

This month we focused on colors, shapes, and the classroom post office. We were able to decorate many hearts and send letter to our peers each day from the tabletop area. We also explored the dramatic play center that had more letters and post office supplies. As we were talking about shapes and colors our centers had added materials for exploration. During our play we talk about colors and identify shapes. All children are working on color and shape identification. We are working on saying them, signing them, or receptively identifying them with pictures or touch. Our class has also shown love for one another by showing compassion towards each other. We have friends checking on each other and sharing toys. We have a lot of hellos, hugs, and goodbyes. It has been wonderful to continue to see their friendships and comfort grow in the classroom!
